There is nothing like a big screen to watch the game, a cold beer, some comfort food and great friends to make the fall football season just perfect. In Phoenix there are some great sports bars that we at Phoenix Restaurants wanted to tell you about. These sports grills have been popular for their great service, multiple televisions and awesome food.
Santisi Brothers Pizzaria and Sports Grill
This is an excellent choice if you are feeling a little Italian. It is a family owned restaurant. The menu is mostly Italian cuisine and well known for their great pizzas. Try the wings they are a local favorite. Most notable is the “Wide Wall of Sports” with 60 televisions. Santisi sports over 100 televisions all together which is more than any other place in Phoenix. To top it off they have great drink specials so you can enjoy the game with out letting to many green backs out. Get there early because during NFL season it is packed! Hazelwoods First Place Sports Grill
If you live in the Arcadia area this is a great choice to watch sports. Hazelwood’s also sponsors local sports teams, including Phoenix Rugby, World Adult Kickball and an Amateur baseball team. They have their own shuttle service if you over do it with their great beer specials. The bar fare is adequate, but reasonable priced. They do have a 10 inch burger for only $10 and you will Also want to try their Garlic Chicken Wings, they are awesome. The locals like it because it is a more authentic sports bar with real sports loving patrons and not a big chain or hotel sports bar. The rugby crowd has been known to be a bit rowdy. Catch 22 Sports Grill
A good sports bar with plenty of large television screens. Cute waitresses bringing loads of food and ice cold brew you way for a reasonable price. The menu has something for everyone like prime rib sliders, wings, a Chicken Philly, or a Rodger Clemens burger. There are lots of beers on tap. According to one of the waitresses we talked to the name of the restaurant came from a licensing issue that the owner had when opening the place. The decor is full of jerseys of players that darn the number 22. Of course there are 22 televisions to be consistent. The crowd is also varied including families. Texas Hold’em poker Sunday through Wednesday. They have live music on the weekends. Check out the location for Catch 22.
CK’s Tavern and Grill – Ahwatukee
If you are in south Phoenix, you will enjoy Ahwatukee’s favorite neighborhood sports bar CK’s Tavern and Grill. The have more than 35 televisions and 20 beers on tap. They show all the major games and they even cater to families with their own kids menu. This is also a good place to go for Friday fish fry and you can choose between cod and perch. Buffalo Wild Wings
This is the fastest growing restaurant chain in the country so check their website to see if there is one close to you. It is no wonder they are growing fast, the have a good formula. Family friendly, fun food and super attentive staff. If you are afraid that the wings are too hot, don’t worry they have 14 signature sauces from very mild and flavorful to nuclear. Their menu has salads, burgers and a variety of specialty items.This one in particular is located by the Harkins theater off of Mayo and Scottsdale Rd. It is a great place to stop and have nachos before going to a movie. There are plenty of big screens to catch your favorite game. It is a high energy and easygoing restaurant.
